“The last event on tourism within Azerbaijan’s year in Russia will be held in St. Petersburg from 21 to 23 November,” Elchin Gafarli, the chief of the Foreign Tourism Division of the Central Tourism Department under the Azerbaijani Youth, Sport and Tourism Ministry, told Trend.
The Ministry will organize exhibition, give overhaul information about prospect of investments in this sphere at the event to attract Russian businessmen. Besides, it plans to present Azerbaijani cuisine to habitants of St. Petersburg within the event.
According to Gafarli, Azerbaijan intends to propose S. Petersburg authorities to consider singing of agreement on cooperation in tourism. Azerbaijan will also submit the proposal on attraction of investments in development of tourism in the country, projects on establishment of joint enterprises, organization of tourist trips to historic places of Azerbaijan and St. Petersburg, establishment of tourist information centers in the largest towns of the countries.
