The Center of Polish Language and Culture will be opened at the Baku Slavic University (BSU). The technical part of the project is under completion, the Polish embassy in Azerbaijan told Trend.
The center will be opened in early 2006. The Polish embassy rendered technical assistance to the project, handed over necessary materials on Poland and provided technical equipment of the center.
The goal of the project is to grant more materials on Polish culture, history and modern life to the students and teachers of BSU. At present the Chair of Polish Language and Culture functions at the university, where around 80 Azerbaijani students study Polish language. They annually take courses of improvement of skills at the Warsaw universities. The courses of Azerbaijani language and literature were also organized at the Warsaw University.
