The known Russian historian, a member of the Russias Union of Writers and the Union of Journalists, professor Rudolf Nikolaevitsch Ivanov, held presentation of his book Defense of Bayzet: the truth and the lie in Azerbaijan. The book presentation took place at the Baku Slavonic University (BSU) involving teachers and students, Trend reports.
During the opening the ceremony the BSU rector, professor Kamal Abdulla appreciated highly the works by the writer and historiograph, who, according to him, В"brings the readers maximal nearer to the truth about the history of Caucasus and draws their attention to the central issues in the history of Caucasus.
The rector drew the attention of the students to the fact that Ivanov is the personal guest of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation president, the Milli Mejlis deputy Mehriban Aliyeva, who is much interested in the works by the scholar.
According to Ivanov, he is currently working over the historical novel dedicated to the Huseyn han Nakhchivanski, the materials of whom he is going to collect by making a trip to Nakhchivan.
