Azeri Diaspora organizations prepares for 14th anniversary of Khojaly genocide

From 25 to 28 February the Azerbaijani Diaspora organizations in the Western and Eastern Europe, the CIS countries, as well as Egypt and the USA will hold actions, scientific-practical conferences and other events in relation to the 14th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide, the State Committee on Azerbaijanis Living Abroad told Trend.

The events will be held in Budapest, Prague, Stockholm and other European cities, as well as several cities of Russia. Besides street actions and conferences, Azerbaijanis will organize exhibitions dedicated to the Khojaly genocide, occupation of the Nagorno-Karabakh by Armenians.

One of the Diaspora organization under the Azerbaijani Society of Mainz and Turkic Communities Organization staged an event, dedicated to the Khojaly tragedy on 17 February. The conference concerned history of genocides and Pro-Armenian claims, where Seva Yurukel, famous scientist, social anthropologist and ethnographer, delivered an overhaul report. Attending the event were some authoritative people, as well as the representatives of media.
