The Azerbaijani Diaspora in Mainz, twin city of Baku, works on defense and propagandizing of national interests, consolidation of our counterparts, Bashag Kemur, the chair of the Mainz-Azerbaijan Society, told Trend.
The first forum on organization of Azerbaijani Diaspora and establishment of Diaspora organizations was held in Mainz. Thus, Baku and Mainz are twin cities from 1986. The big conference held in Mainz established ground for unification of Azerbaijanis living in Europe and foundation of the Congress of European Azerbaijanis in a year. We achieved our major purpose i.e. strengthening, unification of our organization in Europe, Kemur stressed.
The representative of Azerbaijani communities and Diaspora, arrived in Baku from 49 countries to participate in the 2nd congress of world Azerbaijanis, support issues related to our country, defense national interests, hold different events.
An art exhibition Asian Flowers consisted of the works by famous Azerbaijani artist Elshad Geybatov has been held recently. Attending the vent were the diplomats of the Asian countries and other honorary guests. World community got familiar with wonderful patterns of the Azerbaijani culture.
