On 31 March Azerbaijani Diaspora held rallies and conferences on the Azerbaijani genocide in CIS, European countries, Russia, Central Asia, the USA, Canada and Australia, Trend reports. Azerbaijanis organized protest actions at front of Canadian Parliament in Ottawa, UNESCO and the Armenian embassy in Canada.
They also staged an event on the 88th anniversary of the Azerbaijani genocide at the Azerbaijani embassy in Spain. The organizers of the ceremony read the address by President Ilham Aliyev with the participation of the Azerbaijani and Turkish Diaspora, living in Spain, as well as representatives of media. The participants of the ceremony heard overhaul information on subjecting of Azerbaijanis to genocide and got familiar with the materials reflecting the bloody tragedy.
On 31 March Azerbaijanis held a rally in Stockholm, Sweden, voiced slogans against the genocide, committed by Armenians in regard to the Azerbaijani people, as well as adopt address to international organizations. Similar action was staged at one of the central squares of Kiev, Ukraine. The event dedicated to terror and genocide by Armenians was organized by the Azerbaijani embassy in Ukraine and the Congress of Ukrainian Azerbaijanis.
Protest actions were also held in Tallinn, Estonia, Turkish cities Istanbul, Ankara, Adana, as well as Dubai, the UAE, Osaka, Japan, Australian cities Canberra and Sydney. At every event Azerbaijanis demonstrated photos reflecting the Azerbaijani genocide and other materials revealing Armenian brutality.
