The Azerbaijani Education Ministry will hold festive events on the occasion of 22 July National Press Day of Azerbaijan, the Ministry told Trend.
On the occasion of professional holiday the Press Council, the Committee to defend the journalists rights RUH and other journalist organizations will also organize different events. On 19 July the International Press Club the Zardabi Press Center will hold a ceremony to award the journalists For oil sector coverage prize. The organization held a monitoring in the sphere of media and defined the journalists who wrote many articles mainly on this topic. So far, 137 articles were considered and the best ones were selected. The winners will be awarded diplomas and premiums set by the Zardabi Center.
The Zardabi Press Center, the Press Council and other journalist organizations, editors-in-chefs of newspapers, heads of media will visit the tomb of the founder of Azerbaijan press, Hasanbay Zardabi, from 19 to 22 July.
An official reception will be given on 20 July. Attending the ceremony will be the editor-in-chiefs of some newspapers, heads of journalist organizations, media, representatives of foreign embassies, intelligentsia, state and political figures. On 21 July it is planned to hold a ceremony of presentation of Media Achari (Media key) prize, established jointly with Ruh, Yeni Nesil and Independent Journalist League. At present the jury defines the winners. The winners will receive their traditional money premiums, diplomas and Media Achari statuette.
