AzerRos expresses its deep indignation concerning the events happened in Kandapoga (Karelia, Russia), and thinks that both the state and the society should immediately take measures to prevent international conflict, and its transferring to other regions behind Karelia, Trend Special Correspondent to Moscow reports referring to the statement of President of the Federal National and Cultural Autonomy of Azerbaijanis living in Russia (AzerRos) Soyun Sadikhov.
We understand feelings of our citizens, common people, who were driven to despair with the impudence and impunity of criminal groups with the connivance of the state officials and law enforcement bodies. But we can not fail to react to the activity of provocateurs, who, using people`s indignation, organize so-called people`s gatherings, where there are expressions
to drive out not only Caucasians, but also those who have come to the town since 1991. The people are agitated; the crowd is ready to make any decisions whatever meaningless and dangerous they could be. Being aware of that, the provocateurs directly call upon to ax, to uprising, to drive out all strangers, again shaping the enemy`s image in people`s consciousness. Why should the entire nations answer for tricks of several bandits, the message told.
Mr. Sadykhov thinks that the state should finally stop hiding its head in the sand, and start solving international coexistence issues and providing citizens` security. Those who allowed criminal terror in Kandapoga, now allows pogroms and disorders. No one is responsible for anything again. The collapse of the Soviet Union started from such an everyday conflicts and pseudo-patriots of the people. Unfortunately, some nationalist and extremists issues and sites openly call upon to international conflict. We call upon all Russian citizens to resist such provocations and give an effective rebuff to enemies of our state, the message points out.
