The Social Association Monitoring for Correctional Institutions prepares to hold a monitoring of secret prisons of US Central Investigation Agency (CIA)., the organization told Trend.
It should be mentioned that the ultimate aim and task of the social association is to protect persons kept in correctional institutions and hold monitorings in these institutions.
Taking into consideration that recently the international community has focused its attention on American secret prisons, as well as Azerbaijan`s being a close American ally in the antiterrorism coalition, the organization has made a decision to hold a monitoring these secret prisons in US.
The social association is about to objectively bring the situation to be observed to the attention of the international community, and has sent an appeal to the American Ambassador to Azerbaijan.
Notably, the corresponding appeal of the social association to American Defense Minister Donald Ramsfield to hold a monitoring in the Guantanamo Prison, the organization sent in June 2005 has remained without a reply.
