A forum of journalists of Turk-Speaking countries will be held in Baku next year. The decision on this issue was made at the 10th Congress of Turk Speaking countries held in Antalia (Turkey), Trend reports.
The Chairman of Azerbaijan Press Council Aflatun Amashov who participated at the 10th Congress stressed that works have begun to define the exact date of the forum. We planned to hold the forum approximately in spring. Azerbaijani and Turkish journalists have already made the first steps in this direction at the conference held with the media representatives of the two countries in April in Baku. This meeting focused on the theoretical issues related to the current situation with Azerbaijani and Turkish media. It was decided at the 10th Congress that the
next conference that will be held in Baku should bring together the representatives from all Turk-Speaking countries, Amashov stressed.
In addition, Amashov clarified the necessity of conducting the forum of the media representatives of Turk-Speaking countries. A total globalization happens in the word. Intersection of interests in this process turned into a unavoidable reality. The existing situation makes necessary the unification of Turk-Speaking countries. During the Congress speeches are also made regarding this issue, as well as place and role Turk-Speaking countries in the globalizing world. Naturally it is impossible to realize all of them without information support. A united information space assumes a great importance for acceleration of the integration of Turk-Speaking countries into the world public, Amashov emphasized.
