Azerbaijan Constitutional Court Enriches its Experience through International Co-operation Azeri CC Head

The Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan is enriching its experience and applying contemporary legal ideas to the passed resolutions through ties established through appropriate institutions of other countries, the Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan, Farhad Abdullayev, stated in an exclusive interview with Trend.

According to him, relations have been established with the Constitutional Courts of Turkey, Russia, Germany, Austria, Italy, Bulgaria, Poland, Moldavia, Ukraine, China and other several countries, and there are close ties with the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe.

According to Abdullayev, since its establishment, the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan has always paid special attention to international co-operation. Since 2000, our court has been a full-right member of the Conference of the European Constitutional Courts. The periodical events of the organization cover the court experience of the constitutional control bodies and new tendencies of the constitutional justice, he stated.

In addition, our court co-operates with the Council of Europe, OSCE, German Technical Co-operation Society, American Bar Association, Red Crescent Committee, Chinese Law Society and other governmental and non-governmental organizations, Abdullayev concluded.
