A Chair of Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) will be opened in Baku State University, Trend reports quoting the Education Ministry of Azerbaijan.
The opening ceremony of the Chair will take place during the visit of the Director General of the organization, Abdulla bin Osman al-Tuveydjri to Azerbaijan. Within the visit, the Director General of ISESCO intends to discuss the prospects of future co-operation with Azerbaijan.
The co-operation of Azerbaijan with ISESCO covers 5 key spheres of education, re modernizing the academic plans for schools and higher educational institutions, rendering technical assistance, developing and strengthening the base of the schools and higher educational institutions teaching Arabic language, etc.
Consultations are held and international symposiums and conferences are organized within the technical assistance of ISESCO. Azerbaijan has been a member of this international organization since 1991, and has been represented in the Executive Council since 1993.
