On December 25, written exams began for the candidates for the vacant judge places in the court body of Azerbaijan. The exams are taking place in Baku Sport Palace.
The exam is participated by 307 candidates. These candidates, who successfully passed the first stage of exams tests in October 2006, received the right to participate in the written exam.
The questions of the written exam have been presented by the Election Committee of Judges. The questions cover the criminal, criminal-procedural, civil and civil procedural legislation.
The exams are observed by the representatives of the Azerbaijan Ministry of Justice, local and international governmental and non-governmental organizations and mass media.
The results of the exams will be clear in January 2007. After the Election Committee of Judges and expert group check the written work of candidates, it will be clear who will gain the right to participate at the third stage. The third stage will be an oral exam.
