The "Desperate Housewives" actress - who has been engaged to the singer for ten months - says her successful career is getting in the way of her wedding plans.
Speaking at the New York premiere of her new film "Code Name: The Cleaner," she said: "I don't have time for wedding plans anymore, but we are extremely happy."
Although she is too busy to get married, Nicolette still finds time to listen to her fiance's music.
When asked what records she had been playing recently, she replied with a smile: "Michael Bolton! His Christmas CD is one of my favorites."
While she might be Michael's biggest fan, she hasn't inspired him to pen a song about her - yet.
The 43-year-old actress - who plays maneater Edie Britt in the hit US TV show - admitted: "No he hasn't written a song about me, so far. But he is just about to start working on his new album, so we'll see."
Nicolette and Michael announced their engagement in March 2006 following a whirlwind romance. They first began dating in 1992 and their romance fizzled out in 1995.
Nicolette was previously married to actor Harry Hamlin for two years.
She broke off her engagement to another actor Nicklas Soderblom in October 2005.
Michael has three daughters from his 15 year marriage to Maureen McGuire.
