The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Morocco, Sabir Agabekov, exclusively informed Trend that Islam States Science, Education and Culture Organization (ISESCO) Secretary General, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Osman al Tuweijri plans to visit Azerbaijan in March 2007.
Azerbaijan actively cooperates with Д°SESCO with its headquarters in Rabat. The cooperation covers science, education and culture fields. Within the framework of cooperation a monograph Luminaries of Modern Arab Literature' by outstanding Azerbaijan oriental scientist, Aida Imanguliyeva, was translated into Arab and published last year. It was initiated by ISESCO Secretary General, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Osman al Tuweijri and the President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP Mehriban Aliyeva
Mehriban Aliyev was conferred a title of ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador for services proximity of civilizations.
Mr. Agabekov said that with some steps it will be possible to develop cooperation.
It is planned to sign a Protocol on Cooperation among the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Education Ministry and ISESCO. The document will be signed during the Secretary General forthcoming visit to Azerbaijan, the Ambassador said. The draft document have been presented to Azerbaijan and is under consideration.
