Prosecuted Azeri Officer Transferred to Prison in Hungary
Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend K.Zarbaliyeva / On 4 March the Officer of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan, Ramil Safarov, who has been sentenced to life-imprisonment according to the decision of Budapest city court dated 13 April 2006, was transferred from the detention isolator to the prison located in 170 km from Budapest. The Representative of Safarov's family in the court, Ikram Shirinov, said that Safarov's advocate Clara Fisher plans to meet with Safarov this week.
The decision of the Appeal Court regarding Safarov has not been presented to advocates yet. After the advocates receive the decision, they will prepare cassation complaint about the sentence to the Supreme Court of Hungary.
