World Azerbaijani Scientists Forum to be Held in June
Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr S. Ilhamghizi / Nazim Ibrahimov, the Chairman of the State Committee on Azerbaijanis Residing Abroad Affairs, has informed Trend that the first forum of Azerbaijani scientists from all around the world will be held on 2 June in Antalia, Turkey.
According to Ibrahimov, the forum will be a week long and will be attended by scientists and intellectuals from different countries in the world including Azerbaijan. Leaders of Azerbaijani and Turkish diasporas in different countries will be invited as well.
The organizations of the diasporas will be holding meetings. "The meeting of the administrative board of the Congress of European Azerbaijanis will be held within the week. Different meetings and discussions on joint activities of the Azerbaijani-Turkish diasporas will be organized. On the whole, the week will be productive for Azerbaijani diasporas," the Chairman said.
Ibrahimov added that the forum of Azerbaijani journalists working and residing in different countries around the world will be held in September.
The first forum of the intellectuals and cultural workers of Azerbaijanis from all over the world was held June, 2006 in Antalia.
