Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend E.Huseynly / The President of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences, Mahmud Kerimov, stated on 24 April that 3,000 employees of the academy have been dismissed this year.
Kerimov stressed that in recent years, the numbers of academy employees have decreased from 12,000 to 9,000. "The number of employees and staff at the academy should be improved," he said. Up to the end of 2010, additional reforms will be held for more effective activities of the academy.
