Goy Gol Lake Undergoes Ecological Monitoring

Azerbaijan, Ganja / Тrend corr V. Mammadov / Elshad Mammadov, the Vice-Rectorof the Azerbaijan Technology University, reported on 26 April that research by experts in the Goy Gol lake revealed that the oxygen mass in the lake made up 9.7 mg per litre, what is nearly normal.

According to Mammadov, the water of the Goy Goy lake, the woods, the flora and fauna were examined during the monitoring. "Oxygen is very important for the purity of water and the reproduction of fish. For this purpose we have held examinations to check the quality of the water in the lake. The ecology of the lake has no serious problems," Mammadov said.

Ganja city is situated 360km far away from Baku. It is the second largest industrial city in Azerbaijan. Ganja has a population of 400,000 persons.
