Azerbaijan, Baku/ Trend E.Huseinli / Umayra Tagiyeva, the acting director of the National Hydrometeorology Department at the Azerbaijani Ministry of Ecology and Natural Recourses reported May 5 2007 that the temperature in Azerbaijan, a South Caucasus country, in May would be up to norm, but sometimes might exceed the normal degree.
According to Tagiyeva, the temperature will rise gradually and remain stable, without rains in the regions, as well as Baku and Absheron peninsula.
The temperature will reach 22-26 degrees above zero in Baku city and Absheron peninsula, while it is expected to be 20-22 degrees above zero in Aran regions, central Azerbaijan.
