Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend S.Agayeva / Sevda Mammadaliyeva, the Azerbaijani deputy minister for culture and tourism, stated on 19 May that Azerbaijan supports the development of cultural dialogue among the national minorities residing in the territory of the country, providing a right for maintenance of culture heritage. She was addressing a roundtable "Significance of a dialogue on the way of cultural dialogue, organized at the UN Baku Office on the occasion of the World Cultural Variety Day.
"The development of cultural dialogue is one of the major directions of state policy which respectfully treats the cultural variety, the recognition of the cultural variety, cooperation in situation of mutual confidence and mutual understanding, considering these principles as security of peace and stability in the world," she noted.
The deputy minister announced that Azerbaijan, which has joined the UN conventions, keen to demonstrating more solidarity based on the recognition of the cultural heritage, realization of the unity of mankind and development of interculture exchanges.
The roundtable with the participation of representatives from state and public bodies, discussed the interaction in the preservation of culture heritage and development of dialogue.
