( news.sawf.org ) - Actress Jessica Alba says she loves to challenge authority and can't resist what is forbidden. The Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer star spoke to Instyle magazine about her rebellious side and her role in her new movie.
"I love challenging authority," the 26-year-old Alba tells. "It probably wasn't easy being my parents. The second somebody says 'no' to me is the second I'm going to jump up and say 'yes!" She says she is happy to finally play a role that is different from what she calls "this girl" who is "some what of little Tart." "My experience in this business is that if people think you're going to put people in seats because you have a fan base, it's more important than anything," she says.
Alba was ranked No. 2 on this year's "Hot 100" List by Maxim magazine. "If you have a womanly figure, you're not allowed to have a brain or any idea of the world whatsoever. You just have to be hot and use your body to get ahead."
Nevertheless, Alba's new ratings are mostly based on her male fan base. "I had womanly curves at a young age," says Alba. The Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer is set to release on June 15 and Alba plays as Susan Storm/ Invisible Woman.
