Azerbaijan, Shaki / Тrend corr E. Guliyev / The residents of the villages located nearby Gabala Radar Station held a protest in demonstration against the operation of the Radar Station.
The people state that several children were born invalid as a result of radiation. Besides the damage to the health of the population, the radiation negatively affects the environment. According to the residents, the effect of the radiation is especially is felt on Tuesdays and Fridays, when the Radar Station operates at full capacity.
The Head Physician of the Gabala Region Central Hospital, Sabir Bayramov, reported on 12 June that the radiation covers fifteen villages.
