Representative of Caucasus Muslims’ Clerical Port Attends Funeral of Makhachkala Mosque’s Imam
Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr S. Ilhamgizi / An authorized representative of the Caucasus Muslims' Clerical Port (CMCP), Shahabuddin Karimov, is attending the funeral of a deputy mufti (Muslim clergyman authorized of making judgments on religious-juridical issues) of Dagestan (Russian Federation), an imam (a clergyman offering divine services in mosques) of Makhachkala central mosque, Kuramagomed Ramazanov, according to a spokesman for the CMCP, Hadji Akif Aghayev.
According to Aghayev, Karimov contacted with Makhachkala and learned of the details and the cause of his death. On 26 July, an explosion occurred in the Toyota car as it was travelling along Mursalov Street in Makhachkala in which Ramazanov, his brother and one more person was travelling. As a result of the explosion, Ramazanov and his brother died, the third person was injured and delivered to a hospital. It later transpired that a car bomb was placed in the back seat of the car.
According to Aghayev, a criminal case is being filed.
