Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr K. Zarbaliyeva / The Chairman of the Azerbaijani Anti-Torture Committee, Elchin Behbudov, inspected the Reformatories 12, 13, and 14. According to Behbudov, the monitoring was intended to reveal the living conditions of the inmates and the possibility of torture being conducted on the premises. Behbudov noted a number of problems in the reformatories. The administration of the Azerbaijani Penitentiary Service will be informed of them. Except the Reformatory 12, the other two reformatories had no production departments and the inmates were not provided with jobs. The Reformatory 12 provided seventy-seven of the 670 inmates with jobs.
