Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Ilhamgizi / Baku Appeal Court will consider the lawsuit of eight journalists against Sabail District Police Department after 21 days, the Media Rights Institute reported.
The journalists appealed to the Court because the police dispersed a protest action by putting pressure on representatives of the press on 12 June.
The journalists demand legal proceedings against the police and compensation for each journalist in the amount of AZN 10,000.
Sabail District Court did not take the case into consideration.
The judge of the Appeal Court, Ilham Asadov, adjourned the hearing of 28 August until 18 September.
