Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Ilhamgizi / An Azerbaijani school has been opened in the building of the Enlightment Management in Bern, Switzerland, State Committee on Work with Azerbaijanis Residing Abroad reported on 3 September.
This will be the first Azerbaijani school in Switzerland. Pupils and their parents attended the school's opening ceremony on 1 September. The principles and rules which exist in the school were explained to the pupils. Children were distributed into groups based on their examination results on the Azerbaijani language. The parents of the pupils stated that they would provide every kind of assistance to support their children. About 40,000 Azerbaijanis reside in Switzerland.
