Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. К.Zarbaliyeva / About 3,600 publications and 2,500 non-governmental organizations received the state registration in Azerbaijan, Fikrat Mammadov, the Azerbaijani Justice Minister, said to Tomas Hammberg, the US's Commissar on Human Rights.
The Minister informed the guests about reforms held in the judicial system of the country in correspondence with the modern standards, development of judicial bodies, as well as improvement of functioning of penal services and measures against corruption.
Hammberg positively appreciated adoption of the National plans on human rights.
EU is planning to hold training for the increase of the qualification of journalists, Hammberg said.
