Turkmenistan’s fuel, energy sector eyes cooperation with foreign companies in IT sphere

Turkmenistan’s fuel and energy sector can establish cooperation with foreign companies in the field of IT integration and introduction of the most advanced scientific and technical innovations aimed at increasing the volume of natural carbon production, Trend reports with reference to Arzuw NEWS.

The statement was made by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during a meeting of the country’s Cabinet of Ministries.

The head of state was informed about the current situation in the fuel and energy sector's divisions and the progress of investment projects aimed at increasing oil production by expanding the productivity of wells.

It was noted that in this regard, Turkmennebit State Concern relies on cooperation with proven industry leaders in other countries.

Relevant authorities were given instructions by the president on increasing foreign investments in the fuel and energy sector of the country.

In the first four months of 2020, the volume of investments into the fuel and energy complex of Turkmenistan amounted to more than 3.73 billion Turkmen manat (over $1 billion), which is 1.3 billion manat (over $371 million) more than in the same period of last year.
