BAKU, Azerbaijan, Mar.5
By Sadraddin Aghjayev – Trend:
Azerbaijan’s BIRLink Internet communications service provider company for the first time in the country launched its own mobile application, Alina Khalafova, PR manager of ENGINET company operating under BIRLink brand told Trend on Mar.5.
"The application has a convenient ‘personal account’ interface on the birlink.az website, which allows subscribers to perform all necessary operations on a mobile phone. Information about additional services and tariffs of interest to the subscriber, news, and promotions is available here,” Khalafova said. “Another benefit of the mobile app is that the subscriber can send a request to connect to another tariff plan, as well as additional services such as ‘Filtration’, ‘Landline number’, ‘Static IP’ and ‘Frozen’ to the existing one. The app allows paying for the provider's services online, as well as use the ‘Credit’ service.”
Besides, according to her, in 2020 BIRLink updated the bonus system.
"This system implies the accrual of bonus points to the accounts of subscribers in advance or on time paying a subscription fee. Through the collected points, the subscribers can receive various discounts on other services," she noted.
According to Khalafova, last year, along with promotions and campaigns, the subscribers were presented with many different preferential tariffs, including ‘Tahsil’ (‘Education’), "Garabagh", "Gamer" and others.
"Due to the fact that the main activity of ENGINET is to contribute to education, we launched the ‘Support for Virtual Education’ project, in which teachers, as part of the distant educational process, were provided with an optical connection at a speed of 30 Mb/s, mobile communications, technical support of the company AzEduNet, licensed Microsoft 365 programs, discounts on courses from the ITE center and discounts on the purchase of electronics in Smart Electronics stores. Work in this direction continues," the company’s representative pointed out.
She further said that this is not the only contribution of the provider in the educational sphere.
"We also attract financial resources to connect the educational institutions to the educational network through optical channels free of charge and place our own communication equipment in educational institutions. As part of the project to connect the schools to the optical Internet in the educational network of Azerbaijan, we carry out such a connection in more than 70 schools free of charge," added Khalafova.
