The value of exports of goods from Russia’s Orenburg region to Azerbaijan had notably grown in the first quarter of 2021, the Russian Trade Office in the country said, Trend reports on Aug.12.
According to the source, this indicator amounted to $19.7 million, up by 6 times compared to the first quarter of last year, and currently, the Orenburg region ranks 6th among all regions of Russia in terms of exports to Azerbaijan.
"The main products supplied from Orenburg to Azerbaijan during this period were sunflower oil, honey, magnetic carriers, radiators, inorganic chemistry products and others", the source noted. "The region’s exporters include companies from the machine-building industry, the agro-industrial sector, the food industry, as well as the road-building complex."
On August 11, an online meeting of the Russian Trade Representative in Azerbaijan Ruslan Mirsayapov with representatives of the machine-building industry, agro-industrial complex, food industry, road construction complex of the region took place.
The meeting was attended by the Ministry of Economic Development, Investments, Tourism and Foreign Relations of the Orenburg Region and the Regional Export Support Center.
"With the support of the Trade Office of Russia, the interaction of the Orenburg companies and Azerbaijan will only strengthen," Mirsayapov said.
