Azerbaijan is considering the possibility of creating a joint production facility for processing agricultural products with a Krasnodar company, Trend reports citing the Russian Trade Representation in Azerbaijan.
According to the representative office, today the consumers of the Russian Kuban Carton Factory are large Azerbaijani agro-industrial holdings.
“The possibility of creating joint ventures for processing agricultural products, utilizing secondary raw materials - paper and cardboard, importing high-quality canned products from Azerbaijan is being considered as a new direction of cooperation between this company and Azerbaijan,” the trade mission said.
As reported, during the meeting of the Trade Representative of Azerbaijan in Russia Ruslan Aliyev with the delegation of the Kuban Cardboard Factory, the conditions of cooperation with Azerbaijani business proposed by the Russian side were discussed and a decision was made to jointly support new mutually beneficial projects aimed at strengthening cooperation between Russian and Azerbaijani producers.
In the first quarter of 2021, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia increased not only relative to the same period of 2020, but also exceeded the indicators of the pre-pandemic 2019. The priority areas of trade and economic interaction between the countries are enshrined in the Country Action Plan developed by the Russian Ministry last year with a planning horizon until 2024.
