The Digital Trade Hub of Azerbaijan (DTH) uses a platform built on the X-Road architecture for secure data exchange, DTH’s head Masuma Talibova told Trend on Sept.2.
According to Talibova, this platform allows not only create a transparent, reliable and inclusive digital environment, but also join a confederation of countries using a similar architecture, implementing pilot projects for cross-border data exchange between countries such as Estonia, Finland, Canada, Iceland, Japan, Ukraine, India, Mexico, Norway, Denmark, and African countries.
"This network is capable of accepting an unlimited number of users, providing access to public electronic services offered by various government agencies, which contributes to the creation of stronger communities,” she said. “The reliability and transparency of information exchange are also supported by the State Service for Special Communications and Information Security - the Center for Combating Computer Incidents (CERT).”
The expert also noted that Azerbaijan rose by 15 positions in the world cyber-security rating, reaching 40th place among 194 countries. The cyber-security index of Azerbaijan amounted to 89.31 points.
"Our country is closely cooperating with Estonia in the field of digital solutions, and in the above ranking, Estonia took third place in 2021. This cooperation between Azerbaijan and Estonia will further contribute to the development of Azerbaijan's cyber-security sector, as well as strengthening the country's position in world cyber-security ratings," stressed Talibova.
