Russian exports to Azerbaijan exceeded $1 billion from January through June 2021, Russian Trade Representative in Azerbaijan Ruslan Mirsayapov told Trend.
During the specified period, the export of Russian products to Azerbaijan increased by eight percent, he said.
"Deliveries of nitrogen fertilizers from Russia to Azerbaijan from January through June 2021 increased by 2.5 times, passenger cars - by 144.2 percent, ferrous metal structures - by 116.9 percent, sunflower oil - almost 2 times, refrigeration equipment - by 69.5 percent, telecommunications equipment - by 62.3 percent," Mirsayapov said.
The trade turnover between Russia and Azerbaijan is almost completely represented by non-primary non-energy products.
The growth of non-primary non-energy exports of Russia to Azerbaijan in the specified period amounted to 11.6 percent.
The priority areas of trade and economic cooperation are fixed in the Country Action Plan developed by the Russian Ministry in 2020 with a planning horizon until 2024.
