AzerGold CJSC has exported 285,000 ounces of gold and 560,000 ounces of silver for the entire period of its operation, the chairman of the board of CJSC Zakir Ibrahimov said this at the event on topic "Current problems, reforms and prospects for the development of the mining industry" in Baku, Trend reports.
According to Ibrahimov, budget receipts from the sale of precious metals during the period of the CJSC's activity amounted to 755 million manats ($444.3 million).
"The CJSC has transferred 72.2 million manats ($42.5 million) to the state budget in the form of taxes and social payments over five years," he said.
Ibrahimov also stressed that AzerGold's net profit in 2020 amounted to 82 million manats ($48.2 million).
AzerGold CJSC was established by order of President Ilham Aliyev dated February 11, 2015. The company carries out work on the research and development of deposits of precious and non-ferrous metals in the country and is also engaged in the extraction, processing, and trade of precious metals.
