Azerbaijan Jewelers Association's export revenues grow for 11M2021

Export revenues of Azerbaijan Jewelers Association in the first 11 months of 2021 rose, Toghrul Abbasguliyev, chairman of the association told Trend.

According to Abbasguliyev, this indicator amounted to over 24 million manat ($14.1 million) compared to 16 million manat ($9.4 million) in 2020.

He said that the jewelry goods in finished and raw form have already been exported.

"The jewelry goods are exported to almost all continents, but the potential is noticeable in the CIS countries, especially in Russia, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan. In the future, the countries of Eastern Europe will also be included in the list of export countries. The traditional importers of the goods are Italy, Turkey, the UAE, and Thailand. China and India make up a small share," added the CEO.

"Association of Azerbaijan Jewelers" public union was created in February 2020, at the initiative and support of the Azerbaijan Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA). Its main mission is to turn Azerbaijan into a regional jewelry center.
