Azerbaijan has imported 43,824 tons of rice over the period from January through November 2021, which is 18 percent or 7,890 tons more than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports citing Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
The value of imported rice equaled $31.7 million, and its share in overall Azerbaijani import was 0.31 percent.
Azerbaijani foreign trade has amounted to $30.2 billion over the reporting period, increasing by 32.85 percent or $7.4 billion compared to the same period of 2020, when it amounted to $22.7 billion.
The value of export stood at $19.7 billion (increase of 51.6 percent), and import was $10.4 billion (increase of 7.47 percent).
The surplus of Azerbaijani foreign trade increased by 178 percent or $6.01 billion over the reporting period of 2021, to $9.3 billion from $3.3 billion over the same period in 2020.
