Some 5,290 loans were issued through the Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund of Azerbaijan in 2021, Spokesperson for the fund Yegana Ramazanova told Trend on Jan. 6.
According to Ramazanova, during last year the fund issued loans amounting to over 355.7 million manat ($209.2 million).
Meanwhile, 1,268 apartments were sold by renting them out with the option to purchase them, she stressed.
Totally, 36,760 mortgage loans worth almost two billion manat ($1.18 billion) have been issued since the fund’s establishment [in 2017], and the total amount of the pledged loans issued to businessmen exceeded 248 million manat ($145.8 million), added the spokesperson.
