One of the achievements of the RBC consulting company in Azerbaijan in 2021 was the launch of a contactless railway travel payment system using payment bank cards, Rashad Rahimov, director of the company’s Azerbaijani representative office, told Trend.
According to Ibrahimov, the contactless payment system is now available to holders of bank cards issued by any bank in the country at all stations of the Absheron Railway Circle Line (commuter rail service).
"The passengers can conveniently and safely pay for travel with contactless payment cards," he said.
Besides, according to him, projects within the framework of the 'Smart City' concept in the transport sector and, in particular, automation of management and cashless payments are a very promising direction for the company's development.
“Given our experience in this area, we hope to cooperate with transport companies in 2022,” added Ibrahimov.
