The Azerbaijan Accreditation Center (AzAK) of the State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Supervision of the Consumer Market has signed a consulting and training contract with the Turkish Accreditation Agency (TURKAK) to adapt the accreditation system in Azerbaijan's assessment field, Trend reports citing the State Service.
According to the agreement, TURKAK plans to work on the full implementation of the ISO/IEC 17011: 2017 international standard in AzAK, determining requirements for accreditation agencies, as well as on strengthening the technical potential of the structure.
The organization of AzAK activities in accordance with international standards will allow the agency to be accepted as a full member in international accreditation organizations and to receive global recognition of the evaluation results of structures.
Thus, AzAK will ensure bringing the agencies evaluating accredited conformity to the international level of services and increasing the accuracy of conformity assessment.
