Azerbaijan's gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 6.7 percent in February 2022, compared to the same month in 2021 - up to 19.2 billion manat ($11.2 billion), the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan told Trend.

Added cost in non-oil sector increased by 10.1 percent and in the oil sector - by 0.6 percent in February 2022, compared to the same month in 2021, the committee said.

The share of the industry was 53.6 percent in the structure of GDP.

The State Committee said that 7.9 percent of the overall GDP accounted for trade and repair of vehicles, 5.9 percent for transport and warehousing, 3.1 percent for construction, 2.3 percent for agriculture, forestry and fish farming, 1.3 percent for information and communications, 1.2 percent for the tourism sector.

The remaining 14.9 percent was on the share of other sectors of the economy.

Net income from import tax in the period was 9.8 percent of GDP.

GDP per person in Azerbaijan increased by 58.9 percent in February 2022, compared to February 2021- up to 1,910 manat ($1123.5).
