BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 1. SOCAR Polymer increased its exports of products by 31.43 percent from January through February 2022, Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications of Azerbaijan told Trend.
SOCAR Polymer became one of the leaders of the state sector of Azerbaijan in terms of exports during this period. Export of products during this period amounted to $39.3 million, which is $9.4 million more than in the same period last year.
The construction of SOCAR Polymer plants has become the first large-scale project in the petrochemical industry of Azerbaijan over the past 40 years.
The company's production facilities consist of two plants - for the production of polypropylene and high-density polyethylene, located on the territory of the Azerbaijan’s Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park.
They were commissioned in 2018 and 2019 respectively.
