BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 12. Azerbaijan and Turkey discussed the possibility of creating a single center of geological databases, press service of Azerbaijan’s AzerGold CJSC told Trend.
According to AzerGold, the sides also discussed preparation of a digital map of geophysical anomalies and mineral deposits, including in the territories liberated from Armenian occupation, organization of joint events to study mineral reserves, usage of multi- and hyperspectral platforms, non-invasive technologies, also number of other technical issues.
Azerbaijani and Turkish sides also exchanged views on creation of a laboratory analysis center in one of the regions of Azerbaijan rich in ore resources, its format and technological capabilities.
Similar laboratory operates in Turkey, and it researches minerals, non-metallic and building materials.
Delegation chaired by Head of the Board of State Agency for the Use of Mineral Resources under Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Samir Gurbanov and Chairman of the Executive Board of AzerGold CJSC Zakir Ibrahimov held meetings with representatives of Turkish Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources from May 10 through May 11.
