BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 19. Azerbaijan decreased the production volume of propylene from January through April 2022, Trend reports referring to the State Statistical Committee.
According to the committee, this figure amounted to 41,700 tons (with 39,300 tons accounting for production of commercial propylene), down by 7.7 percent on annual basis.
The committee also said that in the first four months of this year, 191,400 tons of methanol were produced in Azerbaijan (methanol wasn’t produced in the country in the same period of 2021).
Meanwhile, ethylene production in the country decreased by 18.4 percent on annual basis and equaled 43,000 tons.
At the same time, 44,000 tons of polyethylene were produced in Azerbaijan, which is 16 percent less than in 4M2021.
