BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 23. Banks and credit organizations of Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic issued loans to legal entities and individuals in the amount of over 95.9 million manat ($56.4 million) from January through April 2022, Trend reports citing State Statistics Committee of Nakhchivan.

According to committee this is 39.2 percent more than from January through April last year.

About 8.4 million manat ($4.9 million), or 8.8 percent of the total volume of loans issued, fell on short-term loans in the indicated period, on long-term loans - 87.4 million manat ($51.4 million), or 91.2 percent of the total volume of loans issued.

The GDP of Nakhchivan increased by 1.7 percent from January through April 2022 compared to the same period in 2021.

GDP per capita in Nakhchivan amounted to 1,676 manat ($985.8) in the reporting period, which is two percent more than from January through April 2021.
