BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 30. LOT Polish Airlines does not exclude the launch of new flights from other Polish cities to Azerbaijan, Rafal Milczarski, CEO of the company, told Trend.

"We are open to discussions with AZAL on the network expansion. Thanks to AZAL, Polish tourists can come to Baku and then go to other cities in Azerbaijan. We also do not rule out the launch of new flights to Azerbaijan from other cities of Poland, besides Warsaw," Milczarski said.

According to the CEO, the launch of the Warsaw-Baku-Warsaw international flight will make a great contribution to the economic, cultural and social relations between Azerbaijan and Poland.

"The launch of this route took a little longer than expected, mainly due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The assistance we have received from the Government of Azerbaijan and AZAL is also very significant," he added.

Milczarski noted that he has no doubt that millions of Polish tourists will come to Azerbaijan and enjoy its architecture, cuisine and people's hospitality.

He also added that since many Azerbaijanis study in Poland, this route will also make it easier for students to travel.

Meanwhile, LOT Polish Airlines performed its first flight from Warsaw to Heydar Aliyev International Airport on May 28. The flights will be operated 4 times a week.
