BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 13. Azerbaijan's GDP increased by 7.2 percent from January through May 2022 compared to the same period in 2021 - up to 50.8 billion manat ($29.8 billion), State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan told Trend.

According to committee, value added in non-oil sector increased by 11 percent, and in oil and gas sector - by 0.5 percent from January through May 2022 compared to the same period in 2021.

The share of industry, in the structure of GDP, amounted to 54.7 percent.

According to State Statistics Committee, in the structure of GDP, 7.6 percent fell on trade and repair of vehicles, 6.1 percent - on transport and storage, 3.8 percent - on construction, 2.9 percent - on agriculture, forestry and fish farming, 1.3 percent - in the sphere of information and communication, 1.4 percent - in tourism sector. 14.5 percent fell on the share of other sectors of the economy.

Net revenue from import tax was 7.7 percent of GDP in the reporting period.

GDP per capita in Azerbaijan amounted to 5,063.1 manat ($2978.2) from January through May 2022.
