BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 23. The agricultural production value of Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic grew from January through May 2022, Trend reports citing the report of the State Statistical Committee of Nakhchivan.
According to the committee, the figure exceeded 62.1 million manat ($36.5 million), up by 3.6 percent on annual basis.
Production of meat in live weight in the first five months of this year equaled 10,397 tons, and milk – 38,150 tons (an increase of 6.2 percent and 1.7 percent compared to the same period of 2021, respectively).
The GDP of Nakhchivan increased by 1.8 percent (up to 1.5 billion manat or $882.3 million) from January through May 2022 compared to the same period in 2021.
GDP per capita in Nakhchivan amounted to 2,267 manat ($1,333) in the reporting period, which is 2.2 percent more than from January through May 2021.
