Türkiye reveals volume of cargo transshipment from India through local ports

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 23. Turkish ports handled 2.6 million tons of cargo from India in first five months 2022, Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye told Trend.

According to ministry, Turkish-flagged ships delivered 39,520 tons of cargo from India to local ports, and vessels under the flags of other countries – 2.5 million tons.

Indian-flagged vessels delivered 1.5 million tons of cargo to Turkish ports.

Turkish ports handled 33.4 million tons of cargo in May 2022.

Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkiye through local ports amounted to 2.3 million tons during the specified period.

Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkiye by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 31.07 million tons.

Turkish ports handled 7.5 million tons of transit cargo in May 2022.

Turkish ports handled 164.2 million tons of cargo from January through May 2022.

Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkiye amounted to 11.4 million tons during the specified period.

Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkiye by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 152.8 million tons.

Turkish ports handled 35.2 million tons of transit cargo from January through May 2022.
