BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 1. Azerbaijani brands Minali Jewellery, Shamsa jewellery, Shakh filigree are to enter the Uzbek market, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Azerbaijan Jewellers Association Togrul Abbasguliyev told Trend.
He noted that negotiations are already underway in this regard.
"An international jewellery festival was held in Uzbekistan’s Bukhara city, from May 21 through May 26, 2022. Azerbaijani brands Minali Jewellery, Shamsa jewellery, Shakh filigree took part in festival with support of Azerbaijan Jewellers Association and Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO),” Abbasguliyev said.
“Local Uzbek retailers became interested in our brands during the exhibition within the framework of festival, and are already negotiating to introduce them to Uzbek market," he noted.
Abbasguliyev also added that participation of Azerbaijani jewellery manufacturers in other exhibitions is planned.
"We plan to take part in the regional exhibition Istanbul Jewellery Show in Türkiye with support of AZPROMO, which will be held in October or November this year," Abbasguliyev said.
According to him, the Azerbaijan Jewellers Association plans to hold a jewellery exhibition in autumn 2022 with the participation of Azerbaijani and foreign brands.
Azerbaijan Jewellers Association was established on initiative and with support of Small Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SMBDA) in February 2020.
